Environmental and natural flows represent a huge source of energy but it is usually highly diluted on the earth surface. However, some natural processes focus this energy. Atmospheric, fluvial and oceanic flows may concentrate, in time and space, a fraction of this energy. The goal of this course is to get the basic knowledge on physics and hydrodynamics A the end of the SPOCs the trainees will be able to:
1. quantify the wind, potential of a local or regional area
2. understand how much energy can be recovered, regardless of the type of technology used or the level of efficiency achieved ▪understand what are the resource’s availability and its variability.
