Have you ever had a great idea and dreamt of becoming famous but not quite known how to go about it?
Learn how to turn your idea into a viable business plan and convince your audience to dole out the cash.
In twos or threes, you will create a virtual start-up plan in a scientific or technological field of your choice. During the last session(s) each group will present their proposals to the others in the class, who will play the parts of either investors or scientific peers.

Start Up Course Description
Have you ever had a great idea and dreamt of launching a project (and maybe becoming famous) but not quite known how to go about it?
Learn how to turn your idea into a viable business plan and convince your audience to dole out the cash.
In twos or threes, you will create a virtual start-up plan for a product or company of your choice. During the last session(s) each group will present their proposals to the others in the class, who will play the parts of either investors or scientific peers.
Objectives:

- Selling pitches: convincing an audience
- Case-studies
Requirements and evaluation:
- Regular attendance and engagement in class will be required (participation grade)
- Written assignment: a presentation of your start-up project including a short analysis of your market research with visuals (graphs or charts); your sales arguments, team presentation, financing strategy, as well as a logo and a video advertisement
- Oral presentation: the last 2 sessions will be dedicated to the presentation of your start-ups. Competition and prizes included!
