The teaching of Arabic to beginner students aims to enable them, by the end of the first two semesters, to acquire linguistic autonomy, allowing them to express themselves both orally and in writing in all everyday situations and to communicate in a simple language understood throughout the Arab world.
The first semester is primarily dedicated to learning the Arabic alphabet system, followed by work on classic themes (introducing oneself, understanding instructions, asking for directions, talking about one's family, etc.) and various daily life situations. From the start, the approach places a strong emphasis on oral communication and dedicates a significant part of the course to Arab-Muslim culture and civilization.
The goal of this approach is twofold: first, to enable students, by the end of the first year, to be able to engage with simple press texts, and second, to reach the A2 language level, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference.
