Project management involves almost all the economic sectors: large infrastructures, complex (trasport, military), digital (video games, applications) systems, services, innovation, exceptional events (Olympic Games). It gathers a set of organization methods and management tools that every engineer must know how to handle.
But project management is not limited to tools and methods: it requests autonomy and initiative from collaborators facing technical, political and economic hazards and uncertainties. It also requires analytical and hindsight skills on internal organizational dynamics, on evolutions of economic environment and social expectations.
