Internships on macroeconomic topics are usually centered on the main questions treated by the macroeconomic theory (e.g. the determinants of exchange rates or the analysis of unemployment) or some specific problems of economic policy such as the optimal economic policy in a monetary union, the evaluation of some specific labor market policies, etc. Internships in this option usually take place in economic services of French embassies, in international organizations (IMF, World Bank, OECD), in national public agencies (ministry of finance, Pôle Emploi, etc), in academia, or in the private sector (for instance in the department of economic studies of a bank or a large company).
