Discover and develop the 4 pillars to improve your well-being and health capital: physical activity, diet, sleep and mental preparation.

Students will prepare and present a practical restitution delaing with the main notions learnt.

Students will be trained for and participate in a speech contest. The aim is to succeed in convincing, moving, persuading, expressing oneself fluently on a specific subject in front of a jury.

The purpose of this unit is to organize the Speech Contest final (publicity, evening sequencing, cocktail…). Students will develop skills linked to event planning, organisation, communication, and budget management.

Ce cours est une introduction aux concepts de durabilité et aux méthodes scientifiques pour les études de durabilité, en mettant l'accent sur l'évaluation du cycle de vie.

A l'issue de ce cours, vous devriez être en mesure de :
Expliquer et discuter les principaux concepts de la durabilité et les développements historiques qui s'y rapportent
Sélectionner les méthodes scientifiques appropriées pour répondre aux questions liées à la durabilité
Expliquer les concepts de l'évaluation du cycle de vie ; comprendre les résultats et les limites des études d'évaluation du cycle de vie ; effectuer des calculs simples du cycle de vie.
Analyser de manière critique les affirmations de durabilité faites à propos d'une technologie spécifique ou d'une mesure politique.

Le cours s'articule autour de 4 conférences et de 3 séminaires. L'évaluation du cours est basée sur la présence et un court travail individuel. Il n'y a pas d'examen final. Il n'y a pas de pré-requis pour participer au cours, à part un intérêt pour le développement durable.

Globalement, le cours se veut utile au développement personnel des étudiants, en les aidant à structurer leur réflexion sur le développement durable et à examiner comment leurs spécialisations et leurs plans de carrière peuvent contribuer à une société plus juste sur le plan social et plus sûre sur le plan de l'environnement.

This PDV will cover technical skills such as writing a report for publication, resumé writing, and how to write a good statement of purpose for graduate school applications. Students will also explore personal topics like finding universities and programs that fit their aspirations and needs, as well as developping their networking skills and social media presence.
