Quantum Optics: photons
Quantum Optics 2 (PHY 562) deals with the quantization of the electromagnetic field, the notion of photons, and the interaction between matter and quantized radiation. It addresses topics at the heart of modern quantum optics, from squeezed states of light to single-photon sources and entangled photon pairs, which play a key role in the emerging field of quantum information.
