The current development of high-performance measurement techniques (), as well as analysis tools increasingly powerful, allowed major advances in various technology fields. These advances are possible only through the formation of pluridisciplinary teams where the engineer play a key role.
Biomechanics takes place between Engineerging Science (mechanics, physics...) and Life Science (medicine, physiology, biology). The issues covered are at different levels: cell (adhesion on biomaterial, machanical characterization...), oragan (flows in vessels, mechanic of articulations, mechanic of the growth of plant organs, biomaterials...) or global (mechanic of the movement, accidentology, wind resistance of plants...).
