Research internship in Data Science

Research internships in Data Science cover a wide range of varied questions, illustrating the importance and diversity of contemporary researchs in AI, Machine Learning and Bigdata. These questions vary from theorical problems in which students sometimes respond in an innovative way, to industrial applications, but always with a strong scientific or technological dimension.

The interships proposed come from a large demand in the best international academic and industrial research centers. They enable to understand innovative developments, in particular in the industrial world, most of the time based on a solid body of theorical knowledge. They also enable to understand the complexity - historically unprecedented - of the informatics systems built today. Thus, behind an ordinary processor lies the entire computerised production chain, from modular design to mask design, including algorithms for symbolic proof of circuits. Similarly, the complexity of writing software that has to run simultaneously and in a coordinated way on several thousand machines is of such a nature that it is impossible to hope for correct operation without a systematic methodology.

Students interested in a career in research in this field will find material to confirm their vocation for a specific field and they will discover laboratory's life. The other students will be able to get acquainted with the research and innovation world, almost all of them will have to deal with in one way or another during their career. This internship will also be an opportunity for some students to choose research-based training, attested by a doctorate, which is often the reference diploma in the global computer industry.

It is highly recommanded to have taken one of the in-depth programs (PA) in Data Science proposed by the Informatics Department to enjoy this internship.
