Atomic and molecular physics
The atomic and molecular physics as we know it today is the of a long history of discoveries, both theorical and experimental. Far from giving a complete description of these historical developments, this introductory course aims to help understanding the theorical principles and major steps in this history. This course is a direct application of quantum mechanics and includes the basics of atomic and molecular physics. It focus in particular on the atom and molecule structure and their interactions with electrical and magnetical fields.
Required level: quantum mechanics, classic analytical mechanics
Course language: English
