Sculpture is the art of translate into stone, wood, volumes and movements in space. It goes back to the beginning of humanity and numerous testimonies of this art reach us. Sculture is part of our history, with representations that are both secular and religious, esthetic or related to architecture.

Sculpture practice requires a specific learning: sense of the volume, 3D design, knowledge and use of adapted tools.

During this seminar, we will study and practice these notions. We will start with the study, in clay, a bust from a live model, and we will translate into a stone block. Although resistant, this stone is very confortable to work on it. It will enable to conduct the project.
