The course study the contemporary democracy transformations (20th and 21st centuries), mainly in France and with British and American points of comparison. The role of the military fact in these transformations will be particularly emphasized.
The evaluation for the final grade is composed of one oral presentation in class (45%), one written exam (45%) and oral participation (10%)
