Chemistry is intimately linked to advances in life sciences, from medicine to agriculture. While drugs are regularly cited as examples of the use of small molecules to treat or control living organisms, we must not forget the importance of macromolecular objects and materials, particularly in the formulation or the development of probes for diagnosis. The practice of chemistry therefore embraces all these aspects and many others, for the sake of human, animal and plant well-being. The internships of this option will deal with these different aspects at the chemistry-biology interface.

Examples of internships : Internships can occur in France or abroad, in an academic of industrial context.

  • In the research center of École polytechnique (LSO, LCM, LPMC, BIOC...)
  • In other academic institutions
  • In industrial R&D companies in France (Sanofi, Servier, Bayer, Saint Gobain...)
  • In foreign universities
  • In industrial R&D companies abroad (Novartis, Bayer, Saint-Gobain, in USA, Europe or Asia...)
  • In start-ups in the frame of early development projects.
