Internship suggestions:

The internships offered with the seminar "21st-century Cities and Sustainable Development" enable students discovering, through immersion, the new scientific knowledge, cultural dynamics and professional opportunities that requirelents of sustainable development offer in the fields of urbanism, environmental engineering and spatial planning.

Many themes can be apprehended: cities' adaptation to climate change, prevention and management of natural hazards, optimization of urban metabolisms, energy issues, evolution of mobilities and their network, reducing ecological footprint, new city-nature linkages...

There are several types of facilities, in relation with the range of skills required in the city's business lines. It will be possible to go in academical laboratories of French or foreign universities covering the landscape and territorial urban issues, in public and parabublic foresight agencies, in administrations charged with organization and political orientation of large construction sites, within companies and their "urban innovations" departments, in urbanism agencies.

At the intersection between high-level technical skills, sensibility to the evolution of lifestyles, skills of design and engineering and control over political governance issues; these professions, pluridisciplinary by nature, present many opportunities, at the heart of social challenges of the 21th century.
