ECO 583 Business Economics

The objective of this course is to study business cases in which professionals take decision mobilizing economics and data. Sessions are devoted to different topics presented by a professional expert of the subject.The provisional calendar is the following :

 

  • January 8th :  Rémi Avignon – Course Introduction and Values Chains
  • January 15th : Jean Baptiste Vilain – Auctions
  • January 25th : Rémi Avignon and Thomas Larrieu – Platforms
  • January 29th : Olivier Beaude and Paulin jacquot – Electricity Markets
  • February 5th : Arthur Souletie – Data and Health
  • February 12th :  Nicolas Dupuis – Pricing
  • February 26th : Julie Tisserond – Data Strategy
  • March 4th : Students Presentations
  • March 11th : Students Presentations

 

Evaluation is a combination of the three following points:

  • Presence is mandatory to each course. A significant part of the grade will depends of assiduity and activity during the courses.
  • During each session, a group of students will discuss the presentation of the day. This will require preparation of the topic before the session.
  • During the two last sessions, groups of students will present business issues prepared during the semester.
