The Collider is an emblematic course of the EuroTeQ program offered in the 6 partner universities: CTU (Czech Republic), DTU (Denmark), TalTech (Estonia), TU/e (Netherlands), TUM (Germany) and l’X (France).
It takes place first at a local level, within each institution, and concludes at a European level with the organization of the EuroTeQaThon.
Like a particle collider, this format - inspired by challenge based-learning - will allow you to "collide" visions, disciplines and methodologies, with the aim of responding as a team to authentic and current challenges with innovative solutions. The challenges are part of the "Leave no Waste behind" theme.
Accompanied throughout the project by a teacher, you will take on the roles of designers, technical experts or entrepreneurs during the different phases of the course: from the formation of the group to the pitching of your solution, including the design, iteration, testing, prototyping and stakeholder interviews phases. Through the course the groups will be guided in their research and be provided with concepts, methodology, tools and regular feedback to allow you to understand the different phases you go through and learn from them.
You will have to be active and pro-active: you will have to mobilize your personal knowledge and skills on the one hand and acquire new ones on the other hand through research, interviews, brainstorming, prototyping, the feedback you will give or receive and everything that will help you to make the group evolve in order to complete your collider successfully.
The best teams from each institution will be able to take part in the EuroTeQaThon. A European event to showcase and celebrate the best projects from each institution but also to meet, network and inspire others.
You will have 8 weeks to form your team, define the problem you wish to work on and develop a solution that you will present in order to validate the course and perhaps qualify for the EuroTeQaThon! The Collider theme is waste management for the environment: Leave no waste behind.
