In this course we introduce the linear regression model. We cover models for cross-sectional and panel data and we discuss methods to evaluate causal effects of policies, including instrumental variables, local average treatment effects (LATE), regression discontinuity designs (RDD), and difference in differences estimators.
Outline:
- Introduction to econometrics
- Simple Regression Analysis
- Multiple Regression Analysis
- Heteroskedasticity
- Instrumental Variables
- Local Average Treatment Effects
- Regression Discontinuity Designs
- Difference-in-Differences
- Fixed Effects Estimation
